I cried three times.

March 2026 - Crying, fixing, marching, and what's coming next.
March, then.
I cried at least three times. Possibly four. I’ve stopped counting.
It started in London, at the launch of Sophie Jane Lee’s book Beyond Palatable - which, if you haven’t read it yet, fix that immediately. It’s a manifesto for women who are done making themselves digestible. Absolutely essential.
Sophie and I had a conversation. A short one. And she said something that stopped me cold.
“The Rebel is still part of the Good Girl stuff.”
Oh.
Oh no.
She was right. I had a blind spot. A rather significant one. I had spent six years mapping the ways women cope through compliance - the pleasing, the perfecting, the disappearing - and completely missed the women who cope through resistance.
So I went home and fixed it. Six new Good Girl Roles. A completely rebuilt assessment. Sixteen roles now, not ten. The framework is more complete, more honest, and more useful than it has ever been.
You’re welcome. And also: thank you, Sophie.
Then there was the Elevate (the corporate version of Rise Above) feedback, twelve women telling me, in their own words, what a year of this work had done to their lives. One of them said she couldn’t find words fitting enough to describe the impact. I found that rather ironic, given that I was sobbing.
Then there was finishing Elevate itself. Saying goodbye to that cohort after twelve months together. Which I knew would be sad and was somehow even sadder than I expected.
The good news: they’re not gone.
One of the things I do for every woman who comes through Rise Above and Elevate is invite them back every September for free. The learning continues. The community keeps growing. No woman gets left behind.
We made something real in that room. You don’t just close the laptop and move on.
Then IWD. I have a complicated relationship with International Women's Day. It's needed.
The pinkwashing is not. I love calling out the organisations that spend the other 364 days actively making things worse for women, then post a pink graphic on the 8th of March and call it Give to Gain. No. Absolutely not. We see you.
To ‘celebrate’, I marched through London with brilliant women. Then I ended up on a rail replacement bus and shared Maoams with a wonderful young woman called Theo for two hours. A perfect day, honestly.
I also got to Bolton. Two Good Girl at Work workshops, a room full of women recognising themselves in the data, and that particular energy that happens when a group of people suddenly understand why they’ve been exhausted for years.
I love that energy. It never gets old.

And then there was the Festival of the Girl in Newcastle. We sold out of the Teen Edition. Every single copy. Girls and their parents and their teachers picking it up and saying yes, this is exactly what we needed.
My cup, genuinely, was overflowing this month. The women. All the women. Everywhere I went.
Thank you for being some of them.
What’s coming in April:
The most exciting thing first.
Pamela, Head of Organisational Development at AND-E, and the world’s first ever officially certified Good Girl Deprogrammer™, is about to start her own cohort of 13 women. I’m going in at the end of April to help her kick it off, and I am so unreasonably proud of her I can barely stand it.
This is what the work is supposed to do. It doesn’t end with you. It travels.
We’re also launching the Elevate Impact Report from cohort one, because the data is extraordinary and more organisations need to see it. We’ll be using it to apply for some awards too, because frankly, we should. If you know an organisation that needs to read it, send them my way.
Also, the first-ever public Rise Above cohort of 28 brilliant women is coming to a close. Seven months. One complete R.I.S.E. A.B.O.V.E. journey. I’ll be sharing more about what that looked like very soon.
I’m taking some days off over Easter. Actual days off. I’m told this is allowed.
And I’m catching up on homework from my Love, Sex and Relationship Coaching training, because if you want to know where Good Girl Conditioning lives most stubbornly and most silently, it’s there. In our bodies. In our desire. In the parts of ourselves we were taught earliest to hide.
More on that soon, too.
